Simon brings 20 years of Operational and Security Management experience to the forum. Having led security teams of 1,000+ guards per day, and worked with clients to deliver effective crowd safety outcomes at some of the largest events held across Australia and throughout the world. Simon is a natural leader who is driven by the desire to disprove the words “It can’t be done” and is gifted with the vision, determination and skills needed to make a difference in the security industry.

Simon is extremely passionate about training and development and has worked tirelessly to improve industry knowledge through training and industry seminars that have bought a range of world-recognised experts to Australia to share their thoughts and ideas.

Simon is renowned for his “Plan – Do – Check – Adjust” approach to every job, always looking for ways to improve.

Leave Nothing To Chance: A Suite of Risk Areas Affecting Major Events

This panel discussion follows a presentation on the general overview of security and safety from a national perspective for Australia and its position in relation to the global marketplace. The presenter will ‘set the scene’ before joining other panel members in a discussion on risk areas concerning the events sector including readiness testing, crowd management, safety, security, risk management, compliance and vigilance. The panel will discuss issues from both the aspect of the general security environment in addition to the internal operations of undertaking an event.
