Associate Professor Deborah Edwards is Director (Postgraduate Research) in the Business School, University of Technology Sydney. She is a Research Associate of the Business Intelligence & Data Analytics (BIDA) Research Centre. She values collaborating with industry and works with a number of high profile industry partners including BESydney, the Joint Meetings Industry Council, and the ICC Sydney. Her recent publications include Outcomes and challenges of an international convention centre’s procurement strategy (2019), Business Event Legacies (2019), Feeding Your Performance (2018), The Power of Conferences (2017) and Conferences as Catalysts for Thriving Economies (2016). Her philosophy is to deliver academic research that is co-produced with, and communicated to, industry and relevant stakeholders in a meaningful way.
