Andrew Stark is the General Manager of Australia Oceania for World Surf League (WSL) and Kelly Slater Wave Co. Andrew joined WSL in September 2018 after successfully serving as CEO for Surfing Australia for 9 ½ years, where he furthered his reputation as a world-class sports administrator, growing the business commercially and starting the now thriving Surfing Australia High Performance Centre (HPC). Andrew is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (2014) In 2016 Andrew completed the Harvard Business School Authentic Leadership Development Program in Boston, and in August 2018 he attended Stanford University in USA to complete a Strategic Marketing Management Executive Program.

Panel: The Business of Making an Australian Event an International Success: lessons learnt from successful high profile events produced in Australia which have both local and international audiences
Andrew will take part in an opening panel that will ‘set the scene’ on the business aspect of the events sector within Australia. Taking the position of CEOs who lead high profile successful events and senior level influencers to and within the sector, the panel will discuss the highs and lows of the events business and what we’re doing right (and wrong) with Australia’s position within the global marketplace. The focus will be on lessons learned and how you can apply this to your business to also achieve success.
