conference delegate faq

We are busy securing a new date for the 2021 event, and we look forward to sharing this with you soon. All 2020 delegate passes will be automatically transferred to the next event and in the coming weeks, you will receive a confirmation email to this effect.

If you are unable to attend the new date, you will receive a refund. It is also possible to transfer the pass to a colleague. If we can be of assistance, please do reach out: info@thebusinessofevents.com.au

We are also working on new ways to share value and insights that help us rebound and reconnect in the coming months. In the meantime, we encourage you to stay connected via our social media channels and by subscribing to our newsletter.

Our number one priority now and in the future will remain the same; the health and safety of those attending our Shows, our team and the broader community, especially those most vulnerable. We continue to monitor the ongoing advice closely. We wish to assure you that we will adhere to all guidance issued and that we will be implementing additional measures around hygiene and safe food practises at our Shows.

A statement from the organisers of The Business of Events

After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision not to hold The Business of Events in 2020. Instead, The Business of Events will return in 2021 with a new theme and program that will ensure a strong comeback.

We were initially optimistic that we would be holding events later in the year. Like many of you have done for your events, we explored a range of options in our best efforts to bring our community together. We are, however, at a point where we can no longer wait and see how the situation evolves.

While we are disappointed not to be coming together this year, we believe the decision to focus on the future is the best one. We are securing a date for The Business of Events 2021 and look forward to sharing this with you soon.

While this situation has been challenging, what has emerged is the need to collectively safeguard our industry. A re-imagined 2021 program will allow us the opportunity to explore the topics that are crucial to these efforts. We are also adding new layers to the event that will offer you a deeper learning experience.

We want to help the community we are so passionate about, so we are also working on new ways to share value and insights that help us rebound and reconnect in the coming months. In the meantime, we encourage you to stay connected via our social media channels and by subscribing to our newsletter.

For our delegates, exhibitors and speakers, further information regarding the next course of action is being communicated via email.

We thank everyone for the unwavering support we have been shown. Please know that we are also here to support others in the community as we work through these difficult times.

As of 20 March, 2020

In accordance with the advice issued by the Australian Government, The Business of Events has been postponed and will not proceed on the scheduled date of the 19 March 2020, at Luna Park Sydney.

We are carefully working through the next steps with our partners to determine potential new dates for our Event later in the year. This takes time, so we truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate this new territory.

Whilst we are still working through the details, we can advise that tickets that have been purchased for this Event will remain valid for the new date. If you are unable to attend the new date, you will receive a refund.

Caring for your safety and well-being has been and always will be our most important priority.
